Three Major Drivers… 1) Construction: Half of all tonnes lifted in Northern Ireland and two thirds of all tonnes lifted in Ireland are construction material. Infrastructure spend and housing demand will support growth. 2) Economic Growth: With the slowdown most forecasts see no return to growth before the middle of ) Population: Official projections indicate a 26% growth in Ireland to 2020 and 10% in Northern Ireland. This would result in 7.2 million people on the island by 2020.
