PEST CONTROL

Pest Control: - No matter how clean one keeps one’s surroundings you cannot avoid the “uninvited guests” – The Pests. The Hospital (or) House, where one sees rats, cockroaches and lizards running around, Pest control is very important.

Common Pests: Cockroach Flies Mosquito Lizard Bees & Spider Rats Termites Snake

Cockroach:- The Cockroach on the other hand prefers wet & cooler areas. They are found under coverings in bathrooms, Toilet and sinks, store rooms, kitchen, cupboard Theses places would probably be dark corners

Method of control Sprinkle Baygon bait in places where cockroaches congregate, rest or hide such as dark corners..

Flies: The Common housefly. It sits on the food. It sits on human beings and animals.

Flies Control: Nuvan, Baygon, Lemon grass oil sprinkling the solution along the walls & on the floor. Electric flycatcher units that have UV – light emitting fluorescent tubes can be flying insects monitoring.

Lizard Lizards are typically dry and land creature. They found mostly behind picture frames, curtain, shelves & windows frames.

Lizard control Malathian & Dichlorophos sprayed on the body, kills the lizard instantly

Termites Termites are insects that cause serious damage to wood and paper.

Termites control Chloripariphas & Durban sprayed on the Termites colonies.

Rats The house mouse is most active during the night

Rats Control Rat trap Rat cage Rat glue Poisons Zinc Phosphate: This too is kills quickly the rats.

Mosquitoes Mosquitoes received very little attention until it was found that they were the cause for malaria and other diseases.

Mosquitoes Control Nuvan, Baygon,Pest seal spraying the solution along the walls & Windows.

Snake Snake is very Poisonous & dangerous.

Snakes Control Carbolic acid Thimet Nodules

Spray Machine Operation Fill the tank with the spray solution keeping the strainer in place. Carry the sprayer on your back with the help to shoulder straps. Adjust the shoulder straps so that the sprayer does not hangs loose on your back. Operate the handle to presurise the liquid. Within a few strokes pressure will develop in the pressure chamber. Handle the spray lance with one hand and operate the operating handle with other.

Maintenance When the day’s work is over, operate the sprayer for sometime with clean water after detaching the nozzle. This will rinse out sediments of pesticides from the pressure chamber/delivery line/spray lance. The maintenance is so simple that it does not need special skill to service it. Occasionally oil the gasket of pressure chamber for better performance. The PVC piston might need replacement when it becomes hard or worn out.

Smoking Machine Important 1. Best time to do fogging of insecticide is early morning or late evening for outdoor operation. 2. When used in the closed spaces with volumes less than 50 cubic feet, please exercise caution as it may create a fire or explosion hazard. 3. Remove the gas container carefully from the machine after fogging operation.

Selection of Formulations Fogging is an efficient and economical non- residual method of controlling insects. Proper formulated insecticide is absolutely necessary for better result. Improperly compounded formulations can create fog but it will give poor result. Fogging for insect control: Caution: Before filling any formulation in the formulation tank, the operator should be well familiar with operating system.

: Before Fogging: 1.Determine the volume of enclosed space to be fogged in cubic meters 2.Read the formulation label and determine the normal usage rate of the formulation. This usually varies from 100 milliliters per 100 cubic meters to 300 cubic meters. 3.Determine the formulation volume. 4.Determine the fogging time. Note: The operator must maintain at least 2 mtrs of clearance between the discharge end of the machine and the target being fogged. Warning: Do not fog an enclosed space for more than 5 seconds for each 1.5 cubic meters of enclosed space.

Special Instructions To avoid purging problem, let the machine get warmed up for two minutes before starting the fogging operation. Never add water & pesticide in their respective tanks when the machine is running ‘On’. Maintenance after daily working: Keep the machine clean Clean the water & chemical solution stains on machine surface.
