CRINOIDEA

WHERE DO THEY LIVE? THEY LIVE IN THE OCEAN.

HOW DO THEY MOVE AROUND? They roam around the ocean with small feet located at the bottom of their body

HOW DO THEY EAT? They feed through their mouth located at the bottom of their body. Some eat clams and other microscopic organisms.

HOW DO THEY REPRODUCE? They reproduce sexually by external fertilization. Some starfish can reproduce asexually. The star is broken into several pieces, and each of these pieces into the missing parts.

PARTS OF THE BODY

HOW DO THEY DEFEND THEMSELVES? Regeneration is a defense mechanism they use. The spines also serve as a defense.

HOW DO ECHINODERMS BREATHE? Breathing takes place through small gills which project to the outside. They have a unique water-vascular system ending in tube feet.

CURIOSITIES Head Skin Skeleton They are the only animals capable of making sea water to circulate through their body.

THE END ANY QUESTIONS?
