Dr Faryal Mahar Consultant GUM/HIV St Albans City Hospital I would like to introduce myself – I am Dr mahar. By qualification I have a MRCOG back ground. I trained in renowned places as Chelsea and westminster, John Hopkins in Oxford and The Royal London and Barts hospital prior to joining as a consultant in GUM/HIV I joined SACH in May 2006 when the department was at a near closure and there were talks of starting clinical assessment and treatment centres. How ever I have to say that due to the support I received from the PCT and my Gp collegues and due to Dr Mundays efforts we have managed to stay firm. I have gone through a period where we had near to nil staff to a department that is now up and running and providing an excellent service due to my hard working staff.
