DEFINITION DEFINATION- A dental implant is prosthesis placed in bone(root) allowed to osseintergrate to support an artificial tooth(crown) cylindrical threaded

H OW IT WORKS Take a titanium post and inserting it deep within the jaw bone. The bone accepts and osseointegrates with the titanium rod, merging into the bone in a similar manner as to how a natural tooth root is enclosed within the bone. Once the bone has completely fused with the titanium, an artificial tooth can be secured into the rod
