Where Do Ants Live? Ants live and work together in groups called colonies. Ants live in underground nests with many other ants. These underground nests are called anthills. Ants make their anthills by digging tunnels and carrying the dirt to the outside. Some ants also nest in rotten wood. urban75/may04.html

What Do Ants Eat?  Some ants “milk” other insects like aphids and caterpillars.  They drink the juice inside of their bodies.  Leafcutter ants chew off pieces of leaves.  They chew the leaves into a paste and they eat the fungus that grows on the paste. research/Mwd/mwd.html
