THE POWER OF ONE GOOD IDEA

The Power of One Good Idea: “One Million Good Nights” Need a Compelling “ Why” Answer: Waitlist of Children is Overwhelming – We Need to get the Job Done!  On October 1, 2013 Pajama Program launched an exciting new initiative, One Million Good Nights, to collect one million new pajamas, one million new books, and the resources needed to get them into the hands of children in need and adolescents from October 1, 2013 to December 31, 2015

Pajama Program’s One Million Good Nights  Inform Audience of Donors & Supporters Who We Will Serve Together: Our Children  Pajama Program provides new books and new pajamas to children in need, many who are waiting and hoping to be adopted  These children live in various settings including group homes, shelters and temporary housing and are shuffled often from one place to another  Many of these children have been abandoned, abused or neglected  Most of these children have never enjoyed the simple comfort of having a mother or father tuck them in at bedtime with warm, clean pajamas and a bedtime story  Some of the children we serve are living with their families below the poverty level, in desperate need of food, clothing and shelter

Pajama Program’s One Million Good Nights Identify Leaders in the Campaign  Partners: Create a strong and dynamic corporate partnership platform, with opportunities for innovative alliances, employee volunteerism and cause related marketing initiatives  The Force of Our Current Leaders: Mobilize Pajama Program’s 60+ National Chapters and volunteers across the county to raise funds, pajamas and books to reach the One Million Good Nights goal

One Million Good Nights: Name Respected Ambassadors  Long time supporter, Meredith Vieira, announced the One Million Good Nights campaign at Pajama Program’s annual gala - May, 2013  Carla Hall, Pajama Program Board Member and host of ‘The Chew’, is an active member of our One Million Good Nights planning committee and was on hand at the One Million Good Nights media launch on October 1, 2013
