Articles of Confederation Chapter 7 Section 1 (pages 204 – 209)

Why did many state constitutions limit the power of state governors? The Intolerable Acts caused Americans to distrust the power royal governors held. State constitutions limited the power of governors and gave the balance of power to legislatures. What exactly is a constitution?

Articles of Confederation Read the sections titled “The Articles of Confederation” on page 206 and “Growing Problems” on page 208. As you read, complete the “Articles of Confederation Graphic Organizer.”
