Activities/Accomplishments April 2013 – February 2014 Shari Temple replaced Peter Fischbach as Chair Merrill Oates replaced Shari Temple as Excom IT Liaison Resolved issues related to Jan 2013 Upgrade General system administration activities – backups, reporting database, monitoring, etc Added new heuristics for member matching for the VFA- Membership DB interface Added new Last Verified Data (LVD) feature Added capabilities to the website as well as a partial facelift – improved Search capability, Notification of posts, links to FaceBook, Topic Group directory, link to VFA Performed lots of membership data cleanup – scripts, reports, manual activity Started the migration of private content to a DA Wiki Administered the Annual Membership Count and cleanup

2014 Plans Add a part time paid System Administrator to the team Apply some needed Security upgrades Update VFA with new state rules – VA and FL in progress Support the introduction of LVD into the Membership Count process Migrate more public content over to Wiki Identify potential outsource group for managing Contributions Do additional projects in prep for 2016 as budget permits

Potential Projects Automate migration of Private Content to Wiki Decouple CiviCRM and Drupal Tools for Easier update of Web Content Training videos for Country Admins Automate joining of US Alumni Group Migrate test and reporting environments to Cloud Intelligent notifications for VFA registrations Phone banking software & support Upgrade to newest versions of all software

LVD (Last Verified Date) Last Verified Date (LVD) is set to current date for a member –When someone Joins DA (via website or VFA) –When Member updates their record –When Member uses VFA and marks they are a Member –When Country Admin clicks on the ‘Verified’ button for the Member Proposal for Membership Count to use LVD as criteria for including in count – suggested time is within last 2 years Impact if LVD had been used for 2014 (LVD > 1/1/2012) Gail Fagen has offered to chair a working group to discuss guidelines and proposals on how to improve the LVD numbers – if interested in helping, please send your name to REGION% Excluded – Current Rules% Excluded – With LVD Rule Americas2.8%61.9% Asia Pacific2.0%57.0% EMEA1.3%59.4%
