“Just LaTher, That’s all” By Hernando Tellez

Hernando Tellez Born in 1908 in Bogota, Colombia Entered the world of journalism at a young age He was involved in politics Was a Senator in Colombia Was Colombia’s ambassador in the United Nations

Do you think the narrator is a hero or a coward? I think the narrator is a hero because he over came the feeling of murdering Captain Torres, even though Captain Torres has murder many of the narrator’s friends.

What mood does the author create in the first four paragraphs What mood does the author create in the first four paragraphs? What details help create this mood? The author creates tension during the first four paragraphs of the story. “Hoping to conceal my emotion, I continued sharpening the razor. I tested it on the meat of my thumb, and held it up to the light.” Details like “sharpening the razor” help create tension to the beginning of the story.

What kind of government or law would there be in a country where a situation like this would occur? The type of government would most likely be communist and there would probably be laws such as no rebelling against the government. "Hernando Tellez." literatura.us, n.d. Torres entered the shop, and the barber was nervous when he recognized Torres.

Torres was an executioner Torres was an executioner. But the barber shaved Torres’s beard just like how he shaved any other customer. Because He was a conscientious barber and proud of the precision required of his profession.

Torres was asking the barber to go to the school at six for the punishment of those rebels he caught. But the barber was secretly a rebel.

The barber was thinking about whether he should kill Torres or not The barber was thinking about whether he should kill Torres or not . He would become a hero or a murderer. If he had pressed harder on the razor, Torres would have died. But he didn’t want to be a murderer. Torres came to him for a shave, and the barber performed his work honorably. He didn’t want blood on his hand .

When the barber was done with shaving ,Torres said that he was here to check if the barber was going to kill him. Torres already knew that the barber was a rebel.
