Before the Speech I need some volunteers for the following roles: 1. Timer (range of 4 – 6 minutes): 1 person 2. Eye contact checker (L / M / R) : 3 people 3. “Ah”-counter (“filler” words/sounds): 2 people

Discussion Questions 1. What main-idea content stuck out? Which details? a) What did the speaker reveal in this speech? b) What did the speaker conceal? 2. What organizational features/patterns did the speaker hang his speech on? 3. What visuals and/or body language did the speaker use to enhance the speech? 4.
