Tooele County Medical Reserve Corps To recruit, train, coordinate and mobilize a competent medical and logistical support unit to augment existing emergency management and public health infrastructure during a natural or man-made disaster in Tooele County.
Bring together dedicated individuals who are willing to donate their expertise when emergencies hit our community:
MRC goal: –I–Improve and augment public health/medical emergency preparedness programs. –I–Improve health literacy –I–Increase disease prevention
Emergency: A situation at hand in which life or property are threatened –S–Storms –E–Epidemic –A–Act of Nature (Earthquake) –M–Multiple train/car crash
MRC units include: –M–Medical professionals Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Dentists, Vets, Epidemiologists –P–Public Health Professionals –C–Community Members Interpreters, chaplains, office and support staff, legal advisors, etc
