What is Wireless Work? Wireless work is a program for those with mobility disabilities who need to find, retain and augment work, improve skills and advance their careers. Wireless work will train participants in using online tools to develop and use 3 networks: Job Search Network Professional Skills Network Career Advancement Network

What Makes Wireless Work Different Wireless Work believes that “relationships” are the most valuable means by which to locate and secure jobs, improve professional skills and advance careers. Wireless Work eliminates HR screening barriers Wireless Work teaches people how to do the work of job search, skill development and career advancement for themselves.

How do we get there from here? Access, or “getting in”, is the primary issue faced when approaching employers. HR screening practices are designed to prevent entry. They are the moat around the castle.

Access? Where are the bridges, tunnels and easy access lanes we need for employment efforts? How do we build them? What is the cost of these circumventions?

The Answer We believe that people are the currency, internet communication is the place and relationships are the bridges, tunnels and easy access lanes we need in order to find jobs, increase skill level and advance careers.

Investment Wireless Work is not a placement program. We do not do the work for participants. We teach participants how to do things for themselves. Since relationships are the key to the Wireless Work strategy, it follows that participants need to invest their own time and effort into developing and using these relationships.

It’s Not About Selling Wireless Work is not in the business of “selling” applicants to employers. Wireless Work is in the business of assisting participants to develop and use relationships that will give them contacts on the inside of employer circles. With Wireless Work, the “who you know” meets with the “how you use the who you know” to complete employment, skill development and career advancement.

The World, Your Home With Wireless Work, the world is at your fingertips from the comfort of your own home. Work, skill development and career advancement is just a fingertip walk away.

Start at the Source and Get Inside Traditional employment support programs for people with disabilities who would like to pursue work goals start with finding employers who have job openings, “the outside”. Wireless Work starts on “the inside”, with the person who has the disability.

Wireless Work assists those with mobility disabilities to: 1.Develop a personal profile of their core interests and talents 2.Map out the existing relationships and explore the potential value of each relationship as it relates to their profile and employment goal. 3.Develop goals for strategically selected relationships,

Upon employment, Wireless Work assists people with disabilities to: 1.Develop relationships with peers and mentors both in the company they work for and in the field at large, forming a professional skill development network that will allow them to retain and augment work efforts by tapping these experienced peers and mentors for tips on task performance that will lead to solutions and an increase in expertise. 2.To set up a Career Advancement Network as they connect with peers and mentors from other companies.
