Presentation transcript:

The project will link organisations across Europe, Turkey, Spain and czech republic with a common interest in heritage monuments and adult education from 2012 till Our proposed Learning Partnership will allow us to learn from each other about ways to attract and motivate adult learners, through the heritage field: Practical work sessions on the physical restoration of our sites. Historical research and studies. Community-based activities, to attract visitors and help them understand their patrimony.

Our concrete objectives are: -- Learn about new ways to attract and motivate adult learners, by visiting the organizations in other countries. -- Compare and contrast our overall operational systems about heritage: what can we do better, and how can we achieve it? -- Motivate local residents to join our project groups, to explore and learn more about their own area. Many people have limited knowledge of the heritage sites in their own localities. -- Enrich our existing work, by ensuring that local residents meet the visiting partners and work with them to develop understanding and communication. -- Use the project as a base for exploring future project ideas.

RESULTS FROM THE PROJECT: Creation of local groups, led by our teams, to work on the project, develop the mobilities and attract more local interest. Project website. A publicity leaflet, in each partner language, to promoter the project and our centres. List of relevant media and organisations, for the Dissemination Plan.

A standard Learning Portfolio structure, to be completed by each Mobility participant, with full evaluation tools for all: participants, staff and adult learners in local areas. These will list the learning achieved, and document the evaluation. Completion of a "Castellum Publicus Guidebook", created by each local group, listing the locations and activities of heritage sites in our areas, describing the partner's work, and promoting opportunities for relevant adult education.
