What Is A Boat Float?

The Purpose

Purpose The purpose of the boat float is to challenge students to use the scientific method to solve the problem involved in building a boat made of corrugated cardboard, masking tape, and paint and be capable of transporting one to three students from point A to point B across Rock Creek Marina. How Do I Build This Boat? Construction Rules There are only 3 materials allowed to be used on your boat.

Construction Rules 1) Any thickness of corrugated cardboard is permitted, but no carpet tubes.
