TEEB Nordic – starting point - Developing regional knowledge base: need for first regional synthesis of ES and their socio-economic importance / value - Regional policy influence & awareness raising: need for Nordic information and examples - Support to national studies: basis for TEEB Finland, possible support to TEEB Norway, Sweden etc.

TEEB Nordic – approach & governance Initiated and funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) in the context of the Finnish Presidency 2011, carried out in the context of TEEB Coordination & synthesis: IEEP and Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) Participatory process: contributions and support from a range of Nordic and other experts, inc. stand-alone case studies, ES maps by JRC Review process: review by global and Nordic experts
