Steps to a Valid NJ Driver License
Knowledge – score an 80% or better on a 50 question test. Vision/Eyesight – must have 20/50 Vision or better Road Test

During Road Test you must provide a vehicle with: 1. valid inspection sticker 2. current registration 3. current insurance card for vehicle 4. valid learners or examination permit 5. accompanying driver who must be licensed to operate the vehicle
Licensed driver must remain in vehicle with applicant at all times!!!!!!!! Applicants are prohibited from moving the vehicle even in the road test lane without the licensed driver! Cannot take road test in vehicle with obstructions or consoles between applicant driver and examiner. (they must be able to reach emergency brake!!)

If you fail, you must wait at least 2 weeks before you may retake test. A vehicle may fail the test for you because of: -improper, expired, or no inspection sticker -unsafe or unsuitable vehicle -Administrator cannot reach emergency brake - poor brakes, unsafe tires, unreasonable unclean interior, missing seatbelts, or other defects
