Steps to a Valid NJ Driver License

 Knowledge – score an 80% or better on a 50 question test.  Vision/Eyesight – must have 20/50 Vision or better  Road Test

 Corrective Lenses Required = 1  Prosthetic Device = 2  Mechanical Device = 3  Hearing Impaired = 4  Attached Restrictions = 5

 During Road Test you must provide a vehicle with: 1. valid inspection sticker 2. current registration 3. current insurance card for vehicle 4. valid learners or examination permit 5. accompanying driver who must be licensed to operate the vehicle

 Licensed driver must remain in vehicle with applicant at all times!!!!!!!!  Applicants are prohibited from moving the vehicle even in the road test lane without the licensed driver!  Cannot take road test in vehicle with obstructions or consoles between applicant driver and examiner. (they must be able to reach emergency brake!!)

 If you fail, you must wait at least 2 weeks before you may retake test.  A vehicle may fail the test for you because of: -improper, expired, or no inspection sticker -unsafe or unsuitable vehicle -Administrator cannot reach emergency brake - poor brakes, unsafe tires, unreasonable unclean interior, missing seatbelts, or other defects

 Take the test in a car you are comfortable with driving  Practice each area of driving continuously for test  Don’t rush, take your time  Do not listen to the radio during test!  Stay relaxed!!  Mayhem Mayhem
