The Payroll register

An example PAYROLL REGISTER For the period September 1 to September 15

A PAYROLL REGISTER contains employee details and the amount of pay they have earned over a period of time. This amount is called their Gross Earnings. The PAYROLL REGISTER also includes any deductions that need to be taken off the employee’s pay. This amount is called their Net Earnings.

PAYROLL REGISTER For the period September 1 to September 15 The employee numbers and names appear at the start of the Payroll Register

PAYROLL REGISTER For the period September 1 to September 15 Total hours = Regular hours + Overtime hours

PAYROLL REGISTER For the period September 1 to September 15 Regular earnings = Regular hours x Regular pay per hour Dhs = 80 hours x 30 Dhs per hour

PAYROLL REGISTER For the period September 1 to September 15 Total Hours worked = Regular hours + Overtime hours 37 hours = 30 regular hours + 7 hours overtime

PAYROLL REGISTER For the period September 1 to September 15 Overtime earnings = number of hours x [1.5 x regular rate] 525 = 7 x [ 1.5 x 50 ] 525 = 7 x 75
