SELF-DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNICATION

INTRODUCTION An effective business communication reflects the self behind. In social psychology the term ‘self’ is used for an individuals' awareness of his/her abilities, personality traits and ways of doing things.

Concept of self-development and communication ‘The totality of the qualities of a person is the combination of a person’s physical ,intellectual, materialistic and spiritual qualities. Consequently, Self-development refers to the development of all the above mentioned qualities of an individual.’

Objective of Self-development Development of Harmonious Personality. Development of positive Attitude. Development of self-esteem. Development of Rationality. Development of knowledge. Development of Self-Confidence. Development of Cultural Harmony. Development of Totality. Development of Good habits. Development of Organizational Ability.

Interdependence between Self-Development and Communication Self-development stimulates communication to become more effective and dynamic. Development of Positive Personal Attitudes What is an attitude ? It is a mental process of evaluating particular person ,group, things, action or idea. Definition:- ‘An attitude is a tendency to respond either positively or negatively to certain persons, objects or situations.
