General Judging Points o Recruit Team Members o Bring Team member list o Community Judges will be added to your team o Paper with what to do when- on clip board for team leaders o Final Number of Projects by category o Please wear name tag at all times while judging o Dress Appropriately o Careful with paperwork o Careful with conversations o Do not ask personal questions o Conflict of Interest o Okay if school/ name is on project o Sign/comment/initial project Hang Tag o For categories with large number of projects- Start from each end of tables o Participants get better with each interview o Turn in paperwork to coordinator at front office in a timely manner, especially forms with quick turn-around requirement

General Schedule  12:30 PM Mandatory Judge Meeting for all judges o Organization for Judging  Move Projects  Projects may be in the wrong category  Preliminary judging of boards and papers  7:00 PM Nominations due for Best Papers  Display team can begin judging for the best designed board

Moving Projects  Moving projects -Thursday only  Only team leaders may make the decision to move projects Talk to the receiving team leader Add to project move list at the office front desk Put out project move form Attach to place project was originally located Designate someone if you can’t be there for the project move time Front office needs to be told who the designee is

Project Hang tags  Make sure all judges sign or initial  Constructive comments only  Black out any negative comments, regardless of who made them

Intel International Science & Engineering Fair Award (ISEF)  Applies to Senior Division only  2 student & 1 Alternate to go to ISEF  Must be 1 st place project  or 1 st and 2 nd from the same category  Team Leaders’ Decision

Student Observer to Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF)  Team Leaders’ Decision  This award should come from the Junior Division, but could come from the Senior Division if student is a freshman or sophomore  Student should have a project that has won a grand award

Colorado State Science & Engineering Fair Award (CSEF)  20 Positions  Must be from Junior/Senior Divisions only  Normally from 1 st and Second Places in category awards  Do not send a 2 nd Place over a 1 st Place in the same category  Team Leaders’ Decision

Most Original Project Awards  1 Senior Division  1 Junior Division  1 Elementary Division  Must be from a project that has won a category award  Creativity  Team Leaders’ Decision
