What is Schneider Electric? A French based multinational corporation Specializes in electrical distribution, automation management and provides energy management components and solutions. Employs over 140,000 personnel Tagline: The global specialist in energy management/Make the most of your energy Pushing Green initiatives

History 1836 The Schneider brothers took over the Creusot foundries. Two years later, they created Schneider & Cie Already an armament specialist, they launched themselves into the electricity market. Known as Schneider Group. 1 st half of the 20 century turned from armaments to construction, iron and steel works and electricity. 2 nd half of the 20 century was focused on the electrical industry through acquisitions. Renamed Schneider Electric. Early 21 st century focus was on organic growth and acquisitions and a movement toward energy management.
