Humpolec is a small town located approximately in the middle of the Czech Republic. From the capital city of Prague are located within 100 km. Region, which lies Humpolec called Highlands. Our city has a total population of 10, A, 5.A - ZŠ Hradská Humpolec 4

 In the 13th - 15 century there was an exploitation of silver.  From 15 century there was a traditional clothing production.  Local slogan "500 years we clothe the world" is not just a slogan, but a piece of history and fame Humpolec. 7.A, 5.A - ZŠ Hradská Humpolec 7

Since 1989, Humpolec has changed. Streets and block of flats are renovated. Foreign companies have came here and they have offered lots of jobs. In Humpolec there are 6 schools We have a football stadium, hockey stadium, bus station, a small train station, cinema. 7.A, 5.A - ZŠ Hradská Humpolec 8

 He was renowned anthropologist and a doctor. He spent most of his life abroad, but has always been a patriot and support in all circumstances, his Czech homeland, and Czech immigrants in the USA.Always found him a helping hand. He said the sentence: 16 Dr. Aleš Hrdlicka (Humpolec March 30, 1969-September 5, 1943 Washington, DC, USA) "All mankind is of one origin“.

 A genius of the creators of the Czech music was born in the village Kaliště near Humpolec.  The composer worked as a conductor in Vienna and became a local maker of Fame Court Opera and the Metropolitan Opera in New York.  he worked in Prague, Olomouc and in other cities.  His song units using the widely popular tunes and a very extensive and demanding full-length symphonies are among the treasures of world art.
