Transportation Coordination Network Presented by Krista Garofalo Treasure Coast Food Bank

 Established in July 2011  Tasked with developing a comprehensive plan to end hunger on the Treasure Coast  Local coalitions: Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties

 To serve as a community-wide forum for discussing food and hunger issues,  To foster coordination between sectors in the food system and myriad hunger fighters,  To evaluate and produce recommended policies that will lead to a hunger free Treasure Coast, and  To recommend programs and services that address local hunger needs.

The Transportation Coordination Network (TCN) provides safe, dependable, affordable and courteous transit service that will help bridge transportation gaps within the community.

 TCN comprises social service agencies and coordinated contractors that have forged a local partnership.  Assist county residents with physical, developmental or economic challenges that have limited access to services within the county.  Coordination contractors will by transporting residents to meal sites, jobs or other services.  TCN offers transportation to and from local destinations outside the local transit operator hours, including evenings and weekends.
