Diversity is about not putting people into boxes – but if you must – at least allowing them to move from one box to another.
Diversity reminds us that we are all unique and special. There is only one of us, never to be repeated again in the history of the universe.
Our diversity is defined by where we are going – not where we’ve come from. By our future, not our history.
Diversity is lack of opportunity dressed up.
Diversity is the reflection of God in the world – for we are all made in His likeness. Each person is different and essential for completing that image of God.
Through our diversity we have a special opportunity to bring our humanity to the world.
Diversity means valuing everyone equally. The challenge therefore is with each of us.
Diversity reminds us that we all the same. We are born, we live and then we die.
Where is equality and fairness in a world where so many die from hunger every day? Diversity empowers each of us and tells us that we can do something to help – by using the wonderful gifts, talents and opportunities that we have been blessed with.
Diversity is dynamic – for as we grow our diversity changes. Our skills, personal attributes and attitudes – all move with us. Our diversity flows through life with us – reflecting who and what we are, right now.
Diversity allows us to celebrate that which is not perfect, a work in progress or the person who doesn’t live up to our high expectations.
Diversity is your call to social action, for we all have a part to play in making our world a kinder place.
