What is the Foodie 5K? A community fun, chip-timed, run/walk to benefit Northern Illinois Food Bank and our agency partners including a post-run/walk festival with food trucks, entertainment by 93.9 MYfm, and a kid’s zone. All participants will receive a $2 voucher to use at the food truck of their choice, a Foodie 5K shirt and a voucher for a *baseball ticket.

How can my agency benefit? 1. Opportunity to engage your donors, volunteers, clients, etc. 2.Provides you with a fundraising event opportunity without having to host on your own. 3.The funds raised by YOUR TEAM will be applied as a food credit to your agency account at the food bank.

How do I register a team & get started? 1. Visit 2. Click on the event location (Wheaton, Libertyville, or Joliet). 3. Click “Start a Team” and follow the registration steps. 4. To receive a food credit, you MUST include your agency name AND 4-digit number as your team name. (i.e. “Northern Illinois Food Bank – 1600”) 5. As an incentive to register, your team captain (or someone on your team if you’ve already registered) will receive a COMPLIMENTARY registration using the code “PARTNER”. Valid one per team.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each age group, but there is plenty of incentive to participate even if you’re not intent on setting a new personal-best time. The registration fee for the race is $35, with an early-bird discount of $30 available through [ENTER DATE based on race (DuPage County – March 2; Lake County – April 1; Will County – Sept. 1)]. The registration fee for ages 6-12 is $15, and ages 0-5 are free. There will be no registration the day of the race. Registration fees benefit Northern Illinois Food Bank, providing food to more than 71,000 hungry people each week through a network of 800 food pantries and feeding programs in 13 counties.
