From Algebra 2 p. 29 #6 Ham needs to reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F to be fully cooked. To what temperature reading should you cook ham to ensure that the minimum temperature is reached? Tier 2 words: reach ensure

From Algebra 2 p. 37 #25 David earns $6.40 an hour working at Box Office Videos. Each week 25% of his total pay is deducted for taxes. If David wants his take home pay to be at least $1120 a week, solve 6.4x – 0.25(6.4x)>120 to determine how many hours he must work. Tier 2 word: deducted

From Algebra 2 p. 46 #39 Hypothermia is defined as a lowered body temperature. Hyperthermia means an extremely high body temperature. Both conditions are potentially dangerous and occur when a person’s body temperature fluctuates by more than 8 degrees from the normal body temperature of 98.6 degrees. Write and solve an absolute value inequality to describe body temperatures that are considered potentially dangerous. Tier 2 words: fluctuates, potentially
