Inter-park Program Key Components 2015 North Shore Football UNLOCK THE POWER !

Our Philosophy  Kids should play for their own enjoyment (have fun & encourage success).  Play by the rules. Create a disciplined environment.  Teamwork is the key to success. Inspire working together.  Everyone participates. Winning is only a part of it, participation is essential.

“Success can only be measured by the obstacles overcome in achieving it”. Our Mission is to...  teach kids the fundamentals of football and help them develop the desire and appreciation for the sport.  maintain physical fitness while developing friendship in a fun & positive manner.  Because of different skills involved, there is a position on the team for everyone.

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going”. We want our players to...  play by the rules & control their temper.  respect coaches and officials.  learn to work with others.  Discipline helps to focus all our efforts towards accomplishing a common goal.

“Together we are better”  Teamwork is critical. Dedication and cooperation with our team mates creates success.  As well, each year we encourage the unselfish participation of the player’s parents, guardians & friends in volunteering to support all of the aspects required in the operation of our football program (Coaches, administrators, equipment managers, fundraising… etc.).

Participation Guaranteed  All players no matter their skill level have a position on the team.  Participation develops a feeling of self- importance in a group setting.  Due to the number of positions on a team all players are assured a minimum of 25%-50% playing time depending on the level.

Tackle Football is...  not just for boys. We welcome and encourage girls to join as well.  not just for the athletic or big kids. Because of the varied skills required, there is a position for everyone.  not more dangerous than any other sport. In fact there are fewer injuries in football per 1000 exposures than in soccer, volleyball, hockey, gymnastics or wrestling.

Attendance, Attitude, Effort & Discipline...  are the most important criteria in evaluating our players.  will allow some players to play larger roles than others.  in combination with other natural and taught skills complete the team player.

Key Components All Coaches are required to obtain certification through the NCCP and complete obligatory background and police checks. As well they shall be educated and obtain training in….  Equipment fitting (through Riddell).  Heads up Tackling Technique.  Heat & Hydration.  Concussion Recognition & Awareness.

Family & School are #1  Sometimes we have to miss practice and/or games for more important reasons.  As well, we believe in giving priority, in the case of conflict, to the sport you started first.  For further information contact:
