WANE Work Streams Waste Minimisation Education and working with Schools Community Engagement NEW – Business Waste

Love Food Hate Waste North East Partners include: –Durham County Council –Newcastle City Council –North Tyneside Council –Northumberland County Council –WRAP –WANE Waste Minimisation

Love Food Hate Waste North East Action plan developed. The campaign will be co-ordinated by WANE and delivered by all partners Central theme of the campaign is a Left over recipe competition and the production of a North East Cookbook Waste Minimisation

Schools Against Waste RIEP funded project in partnership with Newcastle City Council and Waste Aware North East. Aimed at changing the behaviour of school children of all ages in the North East with regards to waste. Will be focused around the development of an online education resource available free of charge to all schools in the North East. If you would like to input your thoughts in to the project please contact myself or Ben Grant Education and working with Schools

Community Recycling Network North East WANE has gained funding to establish a CRNNE through the Third Sector Capacity Fund. The funding will be used to employ a full time Co-ordinator and develop a network. RENEW are contributing match funding to the project to produce a 3-year business plan, map the community waste sector and develop projects that the Co-ordinator will deliver. Community Engagement

Business Waste WANE are currently developing a new work stream that will focus on reducing the waste produced by the regions businesses. We would welcome your ideas and thoughts on our approach. Business Waste and Packaging
