Nevada became a state (admitted to the Union) October 31, 1864, so Nevada Day is officially October 31st of each year. Celebrated this year on October 28 th (last Friday of October) Nevada Day Parade, on the 27 th. Nevadan's have the distinction of holding the largest formal statehood celebration in the nation!
