Kampala is the largest city and capital of Uganda. The city is divided into five boroughs that oversee local planning: Kampala Central Division, Kawempe Division, Makindye Division, Nakawa Division and Lubaga Division. Location. Located in Kampala, the capital along Kira Road (to Kamwokya) off Bombo Road. Makerere University's main library in Kampala has a general collection, which is the largest in Uganda. The most important specialized collections, all in Kampala, are found in the Albert Cook Library at Makerere Medical School (at Makerere University), the Institute of Teacher Education, the Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo (formerly Uganda Technical College), the Makerere Institute of Social Research, and the Cabinet Office. A display of Uganda's cultural heritage where one can see ethnological and natural-historical exhibitions. It is a vivid reminder of the country's colourful past. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the richest ecosystems in Africa, a result of its immense antiquity and an altitude span from 1,160 to 2,607m. The forest is home to 90 mammal species, including 11 primates, of which the black-and-white colubus, with its lovely flowing white tail, is prominent. Plant life is also diverse, and the forest birding ranks among the best in Uganda, with 23 highly localised Albertine Rift endemics present.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Uganda) Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in south-western Uganda on the edge of the western Rift Valley, lies on the border with the DRC, adjacent to the Parc National des Virungas. It is one of the largest (331 sq. km) natural forests in East Africa and contains both montane and lowland forest. It supports a large number of plants and animals endemic to the region, but most notably half of the world's population of mountain gorillas. The more than 300 Mountain Gorillas, divided into a dozen groups, make up the largest surviving population. The other half is split between the DRC and Rwanda.
