Why do People Go to Libraries? Libraries are very important in the life of all people. We can’t buy all the books we want to read. That’s why we take books from the library. When we have to write a report there is no other way out for us but to use a library

Library of Congress is the largest library in the world. It has the largest number of books, maps and manuscripts which are over 33,012,750 in number. It is situated in Washington D.C. This is the oldest library of the USA. It was established in The Greatest Libraries of the World

The Greatest Libraries of the World Russian State Library is the national library of Russia. It was founded in the library is located in Moscow. It is the largest and the oldest library in the country and the sixth largest in the world. Its books collection is over 14,750,000.

Our library is not very big. It is a clean and cosy room on the first floor. The library’s collections include 22,440 books. There are encyclopedias, handbooks, dictionaries. You can find there books of adventure stories, historical novels, poems and other kinds of books. The librarian is always ready to help you to find a book on your subject. Talks, exhibitions and other events take place in our library. Every day our library is visited by about hundred of pupils. The library, School №93

Books are still popular because  they are available;  they are the most effective learning method;  they are necessary to research something in depth;  they are affordable;  you can take them anywhere;  they don’t need a battery or the Internet connection to read them; Books won’t become a relic of the past!
