Summary There are various ways to search by subject: -Search: searches for words in the title and author fields. Use word variants (textile, textiel, etc.) -Browse tree of subject heading: searches for descriptors assigned to articles. This way you find articles on your subject in all languages. However, you must be familiar with the subject to find the relevant subject trees. -Search subject list only: searches for the first words of the titles only, and may thus give a lot of noise
