The Help Desk is still looking for tech assistants for 1 st and 2 nd semesters. If you are interested in being a tech assistant, stop by Room 306 to pick up an application.

The 2014 United Way campaign is underway! Have you had a chance to give? Student Council representatives have collection buckets all around the school so please plan to donate. There are many agencies in our community that benefit from your donations to United Way. Many of those agencies will be highlighted on the Lion Pride News each morning so please pay close attention.

Are you ready? The Grand Tour of Italy will be in June Payment plans are available. Students may sign up in October for $200 savings. There will be an informational meeting in the library November 4. If you have further questions, please stop by and speak to Mr. Reed, Mrs. Turner, or Mrs. Cirilli.

Friday is the last day to get your full-color yearbook for just $55! See Mrs. Styron in room 803 to purchase yours before the price goes up!

The annual Beef Cook Off will be held at Foley High on November 6 during 1st block. All students interested should stop by Mrs. Leverett's room, 412, to pick up an application outside of her classroom. Please complete the application and return to Mrs. Leverett by the 28th of October with your recipe attached. (Continued)

The top three winners will go on to compete in the county Cattlewomen's Association Beef Cook Off on the evening of Nov. 13. The winner of the county goes on to compete at the State Cook Off in Montgomery, Alabama. There are cash prizes for the winners of both the county and the state competitions and Foley has a long history of outstanding performers! So all you beef chefs, "Get mooooving!"

Attention Summerdale Students: Show your Support, Team Sharp-Team Phelps. Support your former teachers who have been diagnosed with cancer and are undergoing treatment. T-shirts are on sale to raise money to help them during their trying time. The shirts are $16 and are pink and blue TieDye. Orders will be taken until Friday, October 17. All members of the Spanish Club and the Club de Latinos need to sign up for shifts to work the Hispanic Heritage Festival. The festival will be held this Sunday in Foley, from 9am- 5pm. All members should sign up today in Mrs. Whetstone's room!!! Please see Mrs. Whetstone for any and all questions.

Attention all Key Club officers. There will be a emergency Key Club board meeting in the library conference room today during skinny block. This is only a meeting for the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Event Coordinator.

There will be a mandatory NHS meeting Monday in the library. It will last 15 minutes, and important fundraiser information will be given. NHS members must enroll in the NHS Moodle Page and Remind 101 for the latest service hour opportunities and fundraiser information. Please see Mrs. Dossett or Mrs. Turner if you have any questions.

Youth Task Force applications are due to Ms. Carver by Friday, October 24. Drop them off to her in the main front office.
