Old and New, Tried and True Office of Student Involvement defines: A fundraiser is any attempt by a recognized student organization to raise money for its own purposes, to support a program or event, or to benefit a charity. A fundraising permit form must be completed for any such attempt to raise money either on or off-campus (Fundraising Policy, revised 2013). Fundraising Permit form can be found on OrgSync.
