The Law Foretold of Christ and the Gospel The story of the coming Redeemer and God’s redemption is the theme of the Old Testament. (Gen. 3:15; Gen. 12:3; Gal. 3:8, 28; 2 Sam. 7:12- 13; etc.) The Old Testament indicates that through Jesus a new covenant would come.
