Welcome to Shema Bless the Lord! Bless the Lord who is worthy to be praised for all eternity !

Rosh Hashanah Candle Lighting Blessed are You, Hashem, our God, King of the universe, who has made us holy and commanded us to light the Yom Tov candle. Blessed are You, Hashem, our God, King of the universe, for keeping us alive, taking care of us, and bringing us to this time.

The King Sits upon a high and exalted Throne!

Shir Hama’alos Perek 130 From deep troubles I called to You, Hashem. My Master, listen to what I say; please hear what I am begging for. If You keep all our sins, who would survive? You can forgive ours ins, so we fear You. I trust in You, Hashem, I long to hear You. My soul yearns for You, Hashem, more than the night-watchman waits for the morning. Let Israel hope for Hashem, because Hashem is kind, and great

Salvation (Yeshua) is with Him. He will save Israel from all its sins.

Shema Shema Israel, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad. Baruch shem k’vod malchuto l’olam va’ed.

Shema Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is One! Blessed be the name of His glorious kingdom, forever and ever. Amein.

Va’havata V’havata et Adonai Eloheycha, b’chol le’vavecha, Uv chol nafshecha, uv’chol m’odecha. V’hayu had’varim ha’eleh, asher anochi m’tsav’cha hayom, Al le’vavecha.

V’shinantam l’vaneicha, v’dibarta bam, b’shivtecha b’veiteycha, Uv’lechtecha vaderech, uv’shochb’cha uv’kumecha Uk’shartam le’ot al yadecha, v’hayu l’totafot bain einecha. Uch’tavtam al mezuzot beiteycha, uvishareicha. Amein.

And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words, which I command to you this day, shall be on your heart. And you shall teach them diligently to your children, thinking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

And you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Baruch HASHEM

Blow the shofar at the beginning of this new month, at the time of our holiday, because it is a law for Jewish people to do so, a Judgment Day for Hashem. Rosh Hashanah is a day for God to judge the world.

Berachah 1: Fathers Blessed are You, Hashem, our God and the God of our fathers, the God of Avraham, the God of Yitzchak (Isaac), and the God of Yaakov (Jacob), the great, mighty powerful and supreme God; Who is kind and owns everything, Who remembers the good deeds of our fathers, and brings Mashiach (Messiah) to their grandchildren, for His sake, with love.

Remember us for life, King Who wants life. Write us in the Book fo Life – for Your sake. You are the King, Who saves us and helps and protects us. Blessed are You, Hashem, the protector of Avraham.

Berachah 2: God’s Power You are powerful forever, my Lord. You bring the dead back to life, You are able to save. You keep us alive with kindness. You bring the dead back to life. You support those who fall. You heal the sick. You free the prisoners. And You keep Your promise to the dead (to bring them back to life).

Who is like You, our King, Who causes people to die, and brings them back to life, and Who makes salvation (Yeshua) grow. Who is like You, Father of mercy, Who remembers everyone in order that they live!

We trust you to bring the dead back to life. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who brings the dead back to life!

Berachah 3: The Holiness of Hashem You are holy and Your Name is holy, and holy ones praise You every day, forever. And so, also, Hashem, our God, let all Your creations fear You, and be in awe of You. Let all Your creations fear You and bow down before You. Let them all unite and join together to do Your Will.

We know that everything is Yours, You are all-powerful, and Your Name brings fear into everything that You have created. And so, also, Hashem, our God, give honor to Your nation, and praise to those who fear You. Give hope to those who seek You; and let those who hope to You be able to speak proudly; bring

Happiness to Your Land, and joy to Your city, Yerushalayim. Prepare the way for the Mashiach (Messiah) the descendant of King David, to come (again) quickly in our time. And so, also, the tzaddikim (righteous) will then see and be happy, and they will sing with joy. Sin will be quiet, an dall things wicked will blow away like smoke, when You will take away the power of wickedness from the world.

Then You, Hashem, will rule over all Your creations, on Har Tziyon, the resting place of Your Shechinah, in Yerushalayim, Your holy city. As it is written in Sefer Tehillim, Hashem will rule forever, from generation to generation. Halleluyah.

You are holy and Your Name is full of fear. There is no god other than You, as it is written, Hawshem, Master of the armies, will be exalted in judgment, and the holy God will be made holy in righteousness. Blessed are You, Hashem, the holy King.

Avinu Malkeinu Our Father, our King, we have sinned before you. Our Father, our King, we have no other King, just You. Our Father, our King, be kind to us for the sake of Your Name. Our Father, our King, renew us for a good year.

Our Father, our King, eliminate all bad thoughts of those who hate us. Our Father, our King, change the evil plans of our enemies. Our Father, our King, get rid of all our enemies and those who want to stop us. Our Father, our King, seal the mouths of anyone who accuses us.

Our Father, our King, eliminate disease, killing, hunger, captivity, destruction, and sin from Your people. Our Father, our King, keep plagues away from us. Our Father, our King, forgive all our sins. Our Father, our King, wipe away our intentional sins and mistakes.

Our Father, our King, through Your kindness, erase all our guilt.

Please repeat each request after me. Our Father, our King, return us to You with perfect repentance. Our Father, our King, heal the sick with a complete recovery. Our Father, our King, tear up any evil decrees agaisnt us. Our Father, our King, remember us for good.

Our Father, our King, write us in the book of good life. Our Father, our King, write us in the book of redemption and salvation. Our Father, our King, write us in the book of sustenance and support. Our Father, our King, write us in the book of merits. Our Father, our King, write us in the book of forgiveness.

The Book remains open The Book of the undecided ◦Stays open until Yom Kippur ◦Days of Awe are an opportunity to draw close to God and move your name to the Book of the Wholly Righteous ◦Rabbi’s believe MOST people are in this book and celebrations of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are focused on renewing oneself before God for the coming year

Revelation 20:12, 15 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.... And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
