1 st Timothy 1:1-11 Authorship: The Apostle Paul “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Savior, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope.” (v. 1)

1 st Timothy 1:1-11 Timothy was referred to as Paul’s “beloved and faithful son in the Lord” (I Corinthians 4:17) and implies that Timothy was personally won by Paul. Timothy was Paul’s chief associate and had been imprisoned with Paul many times. “Unto Timothy, my own son in the Faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.” (v. 2)
