BARCODE READER A bar code is a reference number placed on items for sale, packages to be delivered, library books, and more Bar codes offer the advantages of convenience, accuracy, speed and cost benefits for businesses and other organizations. Types include: universal product code, postal and delivery service codes

Now with the fraction of manpower and the scan of a barcode, inventory is a breeze. Instead of having to physically log everything in by hand, the barcode contains all the information. All that is needed is a simple scan of a barcode and that information is translated into a computer. BARCODE READER – Time Saver

Bar code readers can register coupon amounts in a flash and subtract them from a customer's total purchase. With bar codes, it's easy for people to build up points on store cards to cash in later for gas discounts and other promotions. They also can use store gift cards that automatically delete partial amounts from the total through the bar code reader.
