Taoism Founded by Laozi To attain happiness one must live in harmony with the “Tao” Tao: a universal force that guides all things

Major beliefs To find inner peace through:

Humility: being humble, not prideful or arrogant Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water. Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible, nothing can surpass it. The soft overcomes the hard; the gentle overcomes the rigid.
