 Reaction turbine (low head, high flow)  Propeller type turbine with variable angle fins  Operates with as little as two feet of head  Optimized for installation site (expensive)  Greater than 90% efficiency (less in low head applications)

 Hybrid reaction/impulse turbine  Performs well over wide range of heads  70-80% efficiency  Significantly lower cost than Kaplan (~10%)
