Our MISSION Holy Light Theological Seminary is a Free Methodist Seminary with an Evangelical Wesleyan tradition. The mission of the Seminary is to: Equip pastors and ministers for the church of God Proclaim Christ’s salvation Plant and develop the Chinese churches Train Christians and lay leaders

Our VISION Our vision is to serve the Church of Jesus Christ by preparing men and women called to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission as effective and spiritually mature pastors, teachers, missionaries, church planters and church leaders around the world.

Our CORE VALUES We value the Bible as God’s inspired, authoritative inerrant Word and that all teaching is biblically based and historically grounded. We value Christ-centeredness, committed to Jesus Christ, as Son of God, Savior and Lord. We value a theological education that results in changed lives, so that those who were trained are not merely learned, but are dependable, responsible servants of God. Our HERITAGE & DEVELOPMENT In 1955, James H. Taylor II, grandson of James Hudson Taylor (founder, China Inland Missions) established Holy Light Theological Seminary.
