Pathway 2… Two Year Community Colleges  Associate’s of Arts (AA) Degree  Associate’s of Applied Science (AAS) Degree  Montgomery County Community College  Associate Degrees (2 year)  University Center – start at MCCC but finish at a 4 year university, choosing from 20 different programs of study.

How to Get to Pathways 1&2…  County Technical School : Schools in Pennsylvania that allow high school students to attend training programs for specific careers for part of their school day.  Northern Montgomery County Technical Career Center  Construction Trades  Cosmetology  Culinary Arts  Engineering & Manufacturing  Floral Design & Landscaping  Health and Human Services Fields  Power and Transportation  Visual Communications

Pathway 3… Four Year Colleges and Universities  Baccalaureate Degree: A four-year degree from a college or university. Also referred to as a bachelor’s degree.  Offer education and training in various programs of study  Many offer graduate degrees  On Campus Living  Off Campus Commuting  Athletic Programs

Pathway 4…  Military  Branches of the military offer training in almost 1500 different occupations.  Enlistees are paid by the military while receiving their training  Working Full Time  Look for jobs with On The Job Training  Minimum wage  Consider your living expense/ lifestyle preference  13 th Year – College Deferment Plan  Year Abroad; Peace Corps

STEPS to SUCCESS  Put your best effort into school.  Make Regular Attendance at school a priority.  Learn to manage your time effectively  Learn to organize your materials and belongings, school papers, assignments, homework and due dates / test dates.  Try new skills! Get involved in extracurricular activities / community activities.
