Mine Operation Update – Sept 2009 Eastern Area  Seed bombs on the upper levels beginning to germinate.  Tree planting continued  Mobile crusher continuing to work through reclaim material, moved to higher bench to class one road base material Western MPL 118  Weather conditions preventing topsoil removal  Overburden material being placed and preparation for water retention dam construction

Mine Operation Update – Sept 2009 Other  ABC Birkenhead product to continue for first two weeks of September  Front road upgrade program, 1 st stage completed, 2 nd stage commenced. On site preparation work commenced on truck wash upgrade.  Capex approval status  Sound proofing of Glass Shed compressor room - completed  Shrouding around ABC stockpiles, aggregate plant and PC1- delayed, weather conditions and availability of contractors  Jaeckeli Creek Plan remediation - commenced  Entrance reseal back to truckwash 1 st Stage – completed  Entrance reseal truckwash to weighbridge - commenced  Truckwash upgrade - commenced  Dust monitoring equipment – ordered waiting delivery  Awaiting response on noise mitigation measures with neighbours  Successful pre-split blast trial  Viewing platform – approval from our insurer & needs to be put to FY 11 capital program with council agreement  Open day on 20/9/09 – advertising in newsletter and local papers
