Internet Regulation: The Internet Regulation is a very important part of the world today and without it there would be huge changes in the world. Internet Regulation restricts access to certain parts of the internet to certain people. This is very important because it also hides your IP address to people who don’t need to see it. So overall Internet Regulation is a very important tool. Internet Governance: Internet Governance is a common word that people think they know the meaning of but they do so many different things that it is hard to narrow it down to one thing, but the internet governance applies to activities from coordination of technical standards all the way to the operation of development. EdX: Edx is a non-profit organization that lets you study and learn different things via the Internet. The founding partners of Edx are Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They want to give students the opportunity to take online classes that reflect their disciplinary breadth. They also do this to see how students learn and how the internet can affect your learning. I think this is a great idea to give everyone a chance to take those types of classes. Internet Addressing: Internet Protocol Addressing is short for IP Address. I’m sure that if you have a computer or know something about technology you will know about your computers IP address. Each device whether it be a computer or a printer, it all has IP addresses. All devices need this to communicate with other devices. I think this is very important because without IP addresses, we wouldn’t be able to connect certain devices.

IPv6: IPv6 is the new internet protocol. They had a later version of that which was IPv4. IP as stated in my tweets before is what is commonly known as your devices IP address. It pretty much links your computer to the Internet and allows your computer or device to send and receive messages. I think that IPv6 is very important because you want to keep things like this up to date and running properly. So I'm glad that they are updating from IPv4 to IPv6. Net Neutrality: The concept of net neutrality says that companies providing Internet service should treat all sources of data equally. They don’t want companies giving preferential treatment to people who give faster commission. That is still up for debate and the center of attention. I don’t think that they should be allowed to give preferential treatment. Everyone should be giving the same treatment. Windows 8: is the most up to date windows operating system for your computer. Windows 8 is a totally new type of operating system then there past windows. Windows 8 is more geared to helping you operate on your mobile devices and tablets. I think this is a great idea because mobile phone and tablets are very popular in today’s world. Routing Autonomous Systems: An Autonomous System path is a list of all the autonomous system that a specific route passes through to reach one destination. This is how things get to places from router to router. Without the Routing Autonomous System there would be a big change in how computer work.

Privacy: on the internet is a big deal and should be treated as a big deal. We put so much of our information on the internet like name, address, and credit card information. When we want to use the internet we want to make sure 3 rd parties don’t get ahold of our information. Border Gateway Protocol: Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) makes important routing decisions on the Internet. BGP was created to replaces the Exterior gateway Protocol. We had to replace the protocol because we were updating our software for all the other parts of the internet and that had to be updated as well. I think that is very important because you want to keep everything up to date and running properly. Spam: Spam is when you get messages over the internet but you do not want to receive it. You may notice on your mail, you even have a folder that says “spam”. Spam is something that everyone in the world has had but no one wants. To protect against spam you have to protect your information and your computer from third party sites. MOOC:MOOC stands for massive open online course. MOOC is a type of online course that is aimed at a large scale of people and you can participate via the internet. They try to make MOOC as similar to a college or university course as they can. So basically it is an online class and I think that is very important so you can take classes in the comfort of your own home.
