The state belongs to all of us - "Kansas Don't Spoil It" Amount per hospital = approximately $8150 SHIP funds can be used for activities related to: – Prospective Payment – Value-based Purchasing – Accountable Care Organizations – Payment Bundling Hospitals encouraged to use funds for ICD-10 transition needs FY SHIP

The state belongs to all of us - "Kansas Don't Spoil It" Medicare Beneficiary QI Project The GOAL: to build a national data base of uniformly reported data that will be used to examine the effectiveness of QI initiatives and identify best practices. Starting September 2011, c0llect Pneumonia: Hospital Compare CMS Core Measures; Congestive Heart Failure: Hospital Compare CMS Core Measures; and 30-day Readmission rates: Pneumonia and Congestive Heart Failure. Grant the Federal ORHP permission to access this data in the CMS Q-Net Data Warehouse.

The state belongs to all of us - "Kansas Don't Spoil It" Partnership for Patients Better Care, Lower Costs, new national public- private partnership launched by U.S. HHS. The partnership goals… By the end of 2013: Decrease preventable hospital-acquired conditions by 40% as compared to 2010 Reduce hospital re-admissions by 20% (as compared to 2010) by decreasing preventable complications during a transition from one care setting to another.
