Greetings  There are several different ways to greet people when speaking to them in Spanish  Similar to the English language, some greetings depend on the time of day in which you encounter someone  It is customary for people to hug and/or kiss on both cheeks (depending on what part of the Spanish-speaking world someone is from)

During the day  In the morning:  Buenos dias = Good Day, Good Morning

In the afternoon  Good afternoon = Buenas tardes

In the evening  Good evening = Buenas noches

Greetings cont…  Nice to meet you = Mucho gusto

Introductions  My name is or I am called= Me llamo… PaPa Noel o Santa PaPa Noel o Santa

Introductions cont…  What is your name? = Como te llamas?
