1. A SOCIAL AND E UROPEAN PROJECT SPOSA allows youth from all over Europe to be integrated to European Volunteer Service (EVS), itself being a program of “Erasmus Plus”. The aim of the European Voluntary Service is to support young people's participation in various forms of voluntary activities, both within and outside the European Union. Under this Action, young people take part individually or in groups in non-profit, unpaid activities.

What is SPOSA? Society for the Help of People with Autism Non- Government Organization This community is focused on helping persons with autism which´s task is to help to improve life conditions of persons with autism and their families. Under the SPOSA´s action, a summer camp is organized every year since 2003.

2. T HE SUMMER CAMP : WHAT IS IT ? Who and how many people are involved? The summer camp is devoted to persons with autism : we can accommodate about 16 autistic children with their parents and their healthy siblings, whether about 40 persons. Also, we are about 14 volunteers participating: 4 are working daily in the association, as long- term EVS, and we are looking for 10 other volunteers. In the goal to respond to the association´s project, it´s important for us to integrate 2 volunteers with a handicap. All this volunteers are coming from different countries ; it reinforces the riches of the exchanges. Last year, they came from Slovakia, Armenia, France, Spain and Czech Republic.

W HAT ARE THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE YOUNG VOLUNTEERS ? Know new people and to be involved in the life of diversity Express their creativity and initiatives Share their experience and knowledge Analyze problems of people with autism and their families.

W HAT ARE THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILIES ? Integration and dialogue between people with autism and people without disabilities Intercultural communication and relations, cultural diversity Participation in different workshops (dancing, singing, painting, sport, competitions and so on) Breaking stereotypes Developing tolerance, empathy and mutual understanding

3. W HEN ? The summer camp runs from 11 th to 25 th July 2015 The first week, all volunteers are working to prepare the second week with autistic persons and their families The second week is devoted to the activities with children and families.

5. W HY TAKE PART IN THE PROJECT ? To get involved in a social inter-cultural project Give a chance to autistic children to meet people from different nationalities : intercultural communication and relations Give them the opportunity to spend holidays with people without disabilities : it is a step towards integration Permit to their parents to find a support and to rest Allow share of knowledge.
