Conversation Practice: Let’s Go Swimming A: I got a flier saying that a swimming pool provides discount, and I am planning to go with Tom. Would you want to come down with us? B: I don't think so. I hate swimming A: Come on, it‘ll be fun. No one hates swimming. B: I do. A: Why? B: I got plummy, my skin got tanned, and I have to take the risk of being drowned. A: You don't know how to swim? B: I can do a little breaststroke. A: That would be enough, you don't really have to swim. You can just relax in the water, and... B: Prepare to drown. A: Look the bright side, there’s always a lifeguard by a swimming pool. B: Yeh and everyone would stare at me when the lifeguard yells "hang in there, I am coming"? Ain't it funny? A: But it's better for you to learn how to swim. B: That's true. A: Of course, and grabbing a tan is good too. You can apply the sunblock to avoid sunburn.
