SMart Faire Walnut 6 th Grade

What is SMart Faire?  The SMart Faire is the culminating activity of your experience as a Walnut student  You will become the teacher  SMart stands for Science, Math, and Art

Logistics  You will work in a group of four called a Quad  Your Quad will consist of two Discovery Students and two Renaissance students  Your Quad has already been selected for you  Your Quad will research your topic for instruction and create a lesson plan to teach to younger students on our campus

Requirements You will submit the following: 1. Research Report 2. Lesson Plan 3. Budget 4. Lesson Delivery Plan

Quad Job Descriptions Each member of your Quad will be given a role. These jobs are as follows:  Project Manager : Responsible for all member of the group and all deliverables.  Secretary: Responsible for all writing activities and the quality of all work submitted.  Accountant: Responsible for the budget creation and submission.  Technology Consultant: Responsible for all elements involving technology.

Expectations and Responsibilities During this project, the following will be expected of you: 1. Excellent, on-task behavior at all times 2. Supportive collaboration within your Quad and beyond 3. Completion of all tasks on or before the due date
