Part 1 – Multiple Slide Sets Macchia Madder Red Persian Ikebana Persian Ceiling
Macchia -- 1 These have to be my favorite type of glass art he’s done.
Macchia -- 2 In person, these are truly beautiful.
Madder Red Persian -- 1 Walking up the stairs, I saw them through the wrought iron and thought it made a beautiful contrast.
Madder Red Persian -- 2 These made quite a striking display; viewed both from downstairs and on their level.
Ikebana -- 1 Ikebana is a form of Japanese flower arrangement. Emphasis is on linear construction, rhythm and color.
Ikebana -- 2
Persian Ceiling -- 1 Interesting to look at in person. You walk under a glass ceiling with all these various glass pieces arranged above you. I believe I recall hearing that this ceiling took the longest to set up.
Persian Ceiling -- 2
Part 2 – Single Slide Sets Navaho Blankets Basket Sets Reed Spears Seaflowers Fiery Scarlet & Sapphire Sterling Towers
Navaho Blankets I’m not a pink person, but these are really nice in person.
Basket Sets These are so light and airy.
Reed Spears I took the pics from inside the DAI. Again, I liked the contrast of the wrought iron to the glass.
Seaflowers A “study” in white/clear glass
Fiery Scarlet & Sapphire Sterling Towers At night, you could see the Fiery Scarlet Tower from I-75.
The End In person, this was a beautiful glass show. I wish I’d had a better camera, but the pictures are really nice
